Description

BKF is hiring a Project Manager – Housing Element Services to lead delivery and business development for Housing Element update and implementation projects. The role manages project scope, schedule, budget, subconsultants, HCD certification, client relationships, public engagement, and proposal development while pursuing new opportunities in the Bay Area and Los Angeles metro markets. It requires 5–7 years of community planning experience, at least one 6th-cycle Housing Element project, knowledge of RHNA, site inventory, rezoning, and AFFH, a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public policy, or a related field, and willingness to travel. The position is remote/hybrid, with Bay Area or Los Angeles metro candidates preferred, and offers an annualized base salary of $139,744.8 to $170,799.2.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or a closely related field
Required Previous Experiences: 5–7 years of community planning experience focused on Housing Element preparation and implementation
At least one 6th-cycle Housing Element update as Project Manager or lead team member
Business development experience including proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations
Preferred Qualifications: Prior seller-doer experience
AICP certification
Established in the Bay Area or Los Angeles metropolitan area
