Commonwealth Fusion Systems is hiring a Project Manager, Project Development to lead the permitting, siting, regulatory, land-use, and environmental compliance work for its first grid-scale commercial fusion power plant and prepare for future deployments. The role covers site viability analysis, land acquisition, grid interconnection, environmental and utility permitting, stakeholder engagement, contractor oversight, and permitting risk management, with up to 25% travel and a hybrid work arrangement. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or policy field and at least seven years of experience leading complex environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, or land-use approvals for utility-scale energy or large industrial infrastructure projects.
