Description
The Project Superintendent plans, coordinates, and supervises field and administrative operations for construction projects, providing technical direction and overseeing safety, costs, productivity, profitability, quality, schedules, and subcontractor work. The role may supervise one or more field superintendents and includes shop drawing review, project management planning, coordination meetings, constructability documentation, CPM scheduling, claim prevention, quality and safety plan implementation, and punch-list management. Project Superintendent I is intended for projects of $20 million or less with 3–5 years of experience, while Project Superintendent II covers $20–$50 million projects with 5–10 years of experience. A four-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and related experience, plus construction project and supervision experience, are required.
