Description
The role is a welding-application specialist within ABB's Robotics business, reporting to an Operations Manager. It involves identifying and closing welding projects, analyzing customer needs, developing competitive welding solutions, performing welding and riveting tests, calculating project costs and risks, planning schedules, negotiating technical agreements, managing project execution and delivery, analyzing welding defects, optimizing welding processes and cycle times, and coordinating third-party partners. The position requires a bachelor's degree in materials science and engineering, welding technology and engineering, or mechanical and automation engineering; at least five years of welding-process-solution experience; knowledge of welding parameters, mechanisms, materials, and defect analysis; process-design and simple fixture-design ability; and English communication skills. Prior experience in robotized automated welding is preferred.
