ispace, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Propulsion System Engineer to join their advanced research & development (ARD) group in Tokyo, Japan. The successful candidate will lead propulsion architecture definitions, develop Python-based propulsion models, assess and select propulsion options, investigate cutting-edge propulsion technologies, and support R&D implementation projects. This role involves working on new technology development, next-generation lunar transportation, and resource utilization system architecture from concept to preliminary design, focusing on high-thrust propulsion systems like earth-storable propulsion and advanced concepts. Technical solutions will progress from mid-low to CML2+ maturity levels according to the JPL "concept maturity level" scale.
