Description
Relativity Space is hiring a Propulsion Systems Engineer to lead engine system architecture, CONOPS trades, interfaces, requirements, analysis, simulation, testing, and tool development for the Aeon R engine. The role also leads a team of engineers, provides technical guidance and mentorship, and coordinates with other technical teams. It is a full-time onsite position at Relativity’s Long Beach factory, with approximately 15% travel to test and launch sites and possible shifted schedules or weekend work. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field, at least 8 years of relevant complex-system engineering experience, at least 2 years of liquid-propellant rocket engine experience, and experience leading teams and applying fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. The hiring range is $160,000–$240,000 USD.
