Description
The Prosthodontist Assistant works under a dentist's supervision to prepare equipment, ready patients, provide chair-side assistance, pass instruments, and support prosthodontic procedures. Responsibilities include processing x-rays, taking impressions and intraoral scans, sterilizing instruments, managing medical clearances, coordinating treatment plans, educating patients, and maintaining prosthetic supplies. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, DANB certification or completion within two years of hire, two years of dental assistant experience, NC dental x-ray certification or completion within six months of hire, CPR certification, and dental implant experience.
