Description
The Protection device technician for switchgear will design, parameterize, test, configure, and commission protection, control, and automation systems for railway power supply switchgear. The role includes SIPROTEC and SICAM device configuration, secondary testing, IEC 61850 communication networks, GOOSE and IEC 60870-5-104 implementation, customer requirement analysis, project coordination, and acceptance testing. Candidates need technical training or an electrical, power, or automation engineering degree, several years of relevant experience, knowledge of the specified technologies, and German and English language skills. The position is based in Erlangen, offers a permanent contract, and provides hybrid work with approximately 20% travel.
