Description
The Department of Family & Community Services is recruiting Protective Services Specialists at levels 1, 2, or 3 for its Fairbanks field office. The role investigates child abuse and neglect, develops family intervention plans, places children in relative or licensed foster homes when necessary, provides in-home services, prepares court reports, coordinates with tribal and community partners, and makes referrals. It is a field-based position with community visits, court attendance, independent office work, on-call and after-hours duties, and travel to rural Alaska, including small-aircraft travel. The position is open to all applicants, may be flexibly staffed, and does not offer visa sponsorship.
