Description
The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services, is recruiting full-time Protective Service Specialist 1/2/3 candidates to investigate child abuse and neglect, develop family intervention plans, place children with relatives or licensed foster homes when necessary, provide in-home services, prepare court reports, coordinate with tribal and community partners, and refer families to other providers. The position is based in Anchorage, Fairbanks, or Wasilla, Alaska, with regular travel to Bethel and surrounding rural communities, an alternate work week, and possible teleworking within the duty station. Applicants must meet competency-based minimum qualifications, hold a valid Real ID Alaska driver's license, complete a background investigation, and may be required to attend training courses.
