The role includes monitoring protected properties, screening visitors, executing security plans, responding to medical emergencies, providing close protection and secure transportation, conducting advance surveys, documenting suspicious activity, and maintaining threat readiness. Candidates must complete a 12-day training academy in San Antonio, pass physical and background checks, swim, remain drug- and nicotine-free, and obtain required state firearm and security licenses. Military, law enforcement, or executive protection experience is helpful but not required.
