Description
Cogent Scientific is hiring a full-time, mid-level Protein Purification/Expression Biochemist for its San Diego team. The role designs and conducts recombinant protein expression and production experiments, performs protein purification using chromatography, ultrafiltration, dialysis, and Cytiva AKTA FPLC systems, optimizes purification processes, characterizes proteins, and documents experimental data. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, molecular or cellular biology, or a related field with 3–5 years of industrial laboratory experience outside academia, or an MS with 1–2 years of such experience. The position is a day shift from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time and offers $65,000–$70,000, DOE, with medical, dental, and vision insurance and other benefits.
