Description
The Protocol Officer plans, coordinates, advises, executes, and trains on protocol activities for distinguished military and civilian visitors, including changes of command, executive-level meetings, retirements, promotions, awards, ceremonies, and special conferences. The role researches visitor backgrounds, maintains appropriate military and civilian protocol courtesies, briefs senior leadership, manages event budgets, and communicates with internal and external stakeholders. Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience in military protocol and distinguished-visit activities, a valid state driver's license, and may need an appropriate security clearance; the position may require travel, irregular hours, and emergency overtime.
