Description
The Prototype Machinist II independently manufactures complex prototype components, including custom surgical instruments, from engineering drawings and models. The role performs complete manual and CNC setups, develops machining strategies, interprets GD&T, selects tooling and fixtures, adjusts programs and processes, supports first-article development, collaborates with engineers on manufacturability, documents processes, and assists with fitting, finishing, inspection, assembly, and training. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, precision machining training, blueprint and GD&T skills, CNC and manual machining proficiency, and strong problem-solving and communication abilities. It is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with optional Saturday overtime, and includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) match, and a quarterly bonus program.
