Description
The PSAP Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations, activities, and personnel on an assigned shift at a 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point. The role directs call-taking and dispatching during peak activity, ensures compliance with standard operating procedures, schedules breaks, responds to equipment failures, serves as a County Warning Officer, coaches telecommunicators, assists with CLEAN/NCIC paperwork, and may perform telecommunicator duties as needed. The position requires irregular shifts, weekends, and holidays, and requires twelfth-grade education, public-safety call-taking and dispatching training, and three years of emergency-services dispatching or related experience.
