Description
The Psychiatrist provides outpatient psychiatric care to consumers and their families under the clinical direction of the Medical Director and administrative direction of the Chief of Health Services. Key responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, medication reviews, prescribing medication, ordering and monitoring laboratory tests, and participating in clinical program planning. The role requires knowledge of culturally competent recovery-based practices, person-centered planning, and trauma-informed care. The Psychiatrist also provides medical direction and support to staff, reviews and approves agency diagnostic evaluations, person-centered plans, and quarterly reviews, and maintains professional development.
