Richland Library is hiring a part-time Safety Associate for its Edgewood location in Columbia, South Carolina. The role patrols library grounds and interior areas, responds to alarms and emergencies, enforces safety and security policies, assists customers and staff, maintains security records, and may support special events and parking. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, one year of directly related security or law enforcement experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and experience; a valid South Carolina driver's license and ability to drive a library vehicle may be required. The position pays $17.25 per hour for 20 hours per week, including rotating weekends, and remains open until filled.
