The Continuing Education EKG Instructor teaches adult learners electrocardiography theory and skills, prepares them for healthcare employment and national certification exams, and delivers classroom instruction, hands-on labs, assessments, and documentation. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, an EKG technician certificate, and one to five years of recent hands-on EKG or cardiac monitoring experience in a clinical setting, along with knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, rhythm interpretation, and EKG procedures. The instructor works under the Director of Continuing Education or the Associate Dean and maintains a professional learning environment while staying current with industry standards and exam requirements.
