Description
Long Beach City College is seeking a part-time Art History faculty member to teach Global Art History survey courses with an emphasis in Asian Art. The assignment may be at the Liberal Arts campus, Trade, Technology and Community Learning campus, or other teaching locations, and may be day, evening, weekend, online, or off campus. The role requires a master’s degree in art history, history of art and architecture, visual culture/visual studies, or an equivalent qualification, along with classroom-management and community-college teaching experience. Recent community-college or lower-division teaching experience, Global Art History or Asian Art experience, and expertise in Asian Art are desirable. The position offers flexible hours, does not accrue tenure rights, and may require online teaching certification and Canvas training.
