Description
Long Beach City College is seeking a part-time faculty member for a teaching assignment that may be at the Liberal Arts campus, Pacific Coast campus, or another college teaching location. The assignment may be day, evening, weekend, online, or off campus and is subject to change. The role involves creating an engaging learning environment, facilitating authentic learning for diverse adult students, adapting pedagogy, using instructional technologies, communicating effectively, and participating in student support, curriculum development, and professional development. Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree plus a health education or health science degree or equivalent, or the higher qualifications set by the Board of Registered Nursing; a bachelor’s degree in nursing with three years of acute medical-surgical clinical practice is also listed. Recent community college or lower-division teaching experience, direct patient care experience, and online instruction proficiency are desirable.
