Description
Long Beach City College is seeking part-time faculty to teach electrical and electrical-technology courses, including IPC-620 Cable Harness Fabrication and Inspection and areas such as solar installation, motors, generators, backup power, transformers, lighting, and instrumentation. The assignment may be at the Liberal Arts campus, Trade Tech Community & Learning campus, or other college teaching locations, and may be day, evening, weekend, online, or off campus. Candidates must meet minimum qualifications involving a bachelor's degree with two years of discipline experience or an associate degree with six years of discipline experience, plus classroom-management and instruction capabilities; electrical-technology candidates also need relevant coursework, a certificate, apprenticeship, or training program plus six years of electrician experience. The position is as-needed and does not accrue tenure rights.
