Description
Long Beach City College is hiring a part-time faculty member to teach in a discipline at the Liberal Arts campus, Pacific Coast campus, or another college teaching location. The assignment may be day, evening, weekend, online, or off campus and is subject to change. Responsibilities include creating an engaging learning environment, facilitating authentic learning, adapting pedagogy, assessing student learning, integrating technology, and collaborating with students, departments, and the college community. Applicants must meet one of several qualification pathways involving a bachelor's degree and two years of discipline experience, an associate degree and six years of discipline experience, a valid teaching credential, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate licensure or certification, plus classroom-management and instructional ability. Recent community college or lower-division teaching experience and expertise in the course field are desirable.
