Description
The Department of Public Health is hiring a Public Health Nurse Supervisor to supervise nurses and nurse practitioners in the Community Health Division, including Public Health Clinics and the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program. The role may rotate between Chico and Oroville, with a California Children’s Services position based in Chico and a Nurse-Family Partnership position supporting home-visiting services for pregnant women and infants. Responsibilities include staff supervision, program planning and evaluation, case management, care coordination, training, budget and grant support, reporting, and complex public health nursing care. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in nursing, four years of increasingly responsible public or community health nursing experience including one year in a lead or charge capacity, a valid registered nurse license and Public Health Nurse Certificate, CPR certification, and a valid United States driver’s license.
