Description
The Lansing School District is hiring a full-time Public Safety Officer to maintain the safety and security of school buildings by responding to emergency and non-emergency situations, supervising and investigating incidents, maintaining confidentiality, communicating with staff, and writing detailed reports. The role requires a high school diploma plus some college coursework, with an associate’s degree in criminal justice or a related field preferred, and may require MCOLES certification or the ability to obtain it. Previous law enforcement or security experience is preferred, and the position requires strong communication, investigation, report-writing, decision-making, and confidentiality skills.
