Description
Lycoming College is hiring a full-time Public Safety Officer for its Office of Public Safety. The role patrols and monitors campus premises, responds to and documents calls for service, directs traffic, assists students and visitors, provides emergency assistance and protective escorts, de-escalates difficult situations, and reports hazardous or unusual conditions. A high school diploma or GED, strong communication and interpersonal skills, a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record are required; security and residential campus experience are preferred. Day and overnight shifts are available, with pay starting at $16.50 per hour for 12-hour shifts working 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement, paid leave, and tuition benefits.
