Description
The Public Safety Specialist – Criminal Evidence Section supports the integrity, security, and lawful handling of criminal evidence and property for a police force of more than 900 sworn and professional staff. Responsibilities include intake, secure storage, release, submission to the state laboratory, disposal, chain-of-custody documentation, audits, inventory, customer service, reporting, fiscal tracking, interagency coordination, and occasional court testimony. The role requires a high school diploma or G.E.D., one year of related experience, a valid driver's license, and a thorough background investigation. It is a full-time Monday–Friday position with a starting salary of $29.06–$34.19 and may require callouts and work beyond standard hours.
