Google is hiring a Public Sector Forward Deployed Engineer to develop and deploy production-grade, secure AI applications and agentic workflows for federal and state/local government and educational customers. The role involves architecting integrations with customer infrastructure, building evaluation and observability pipelines, identifying reusable engineering patterns, and collaborating with Customer Engineering teams. It requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, eight years of Python or similar software development experience, enterprise AI pipeline and cloud-AI experience, customer technical discovery experience, and an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance. Compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
