Description
The Pulmonary Function Lab Technologist performs pulmonary diagnostic testing, including exercise and gas-exchange stress tests, while setting up, calibrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and quality-checking pulmonary function equipment. The role instructs and monitors patients, evaluates test validity and clinical data, provides respiratory-care procedures and education, assists with specimen collection, handles pulmonary lab scheduling and records, contributes to quality, infection-control, budget, and operations reporting, and travels to off-site clinics and satellite locations across the organization’s service region. The position is suitable for an experienced or entry-level registered respiratory therapist and requires Texas licensure, national respiratory therapist registration, healthcare certifications, and reliable transportation.
