Description
The Pump Repair Technician disassembles, inspects, evaluates, and rebuilds a wide range of industrial pumps and rotating equipment; performs precision measurements, component replacement, alignment, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance testing. The role also operates shop machinery, reads mechanical drawings, maintains repair records, assists with repair estimates, and provides onsite installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, startup assistance, and operational checks. A high school diploma or GED is required, while three or more years of industrial mechanical repair experience is preferred; the position requires precision-measurement skills, mechanical troubleshooting, safe operation of lifting and rigging equipment, and a valid driver’s license.
