Description

Stabbert Maritime, a family-owned and operated shipyard business with locations in Seattle and Anacortes, is seeking a Purchasing Agent. The successful candidate will lead sourcing, quoting, and purchasing activities to ensure efficient procurement of goods and services for shipyard operations. This includes obtaining supplier quotes, placing orders, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with documentation, assisting with project estimates, and supporting the procurement management system.

Able to travel 5-10% of the time between our Seattle and Anacortes locations
Purchasing and customer service experience in maritime, shipyard, or related manufacturing industries
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and procurement management/accounting systems
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Experience with shipyard metal procurement, including class-approved steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys, preferred
