Description
The Purchasing Manager coordinates buyers and procurement activities for raw materials, machinery, and services; develops purchasing procedures; distributes procurement plans; resolves conflicts and delayed orders; and oversees supplier, quality, health and safety, environmental, customs, and Good Manufacturing Practice compliance. The role also evaluates subordinates, supports product and process issues, and may require additional tasks related to the organization’s needs. It requires more than five years of purchasing experience, a professional degree, intermediate computer skills, knowledge of MRP, inventory control, traffic, and customs, and advanced English proficiency.
