Citi is hiring a Vice President, Application Development AI Engineer to lead application development and integrate AI development tools into engineering workflows. The role combines technical leadership, product and architecture strategy, microservices and distributed-systems expertise, and hands-on work with Python, APIs, databases, Google AI SDK, agentic architectures, RAG, and agent-to-agent communication. It requires 6+ years of software engineering experience, 4+ years in large-scale distributed systems, and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience. The position is full time and offers a salary range of $120,800 to $170,800.
