LMAX is hiring a Python Developer for its middle-office team to build and maintain trade reconciliation, back-testing, trading-monitoring, and data-engineering tools and services handling large volumes of financial data. The role emphasizes software performance and throughput, clean and maintainable code, automated testing across unit, integration, acceptance, and end-to-end levels, collaboration with infrastructure and research teams, and the ability to work independently. Essential experience includes Python with NumPy, Pandas, and SQL, automated Python testing, requirements analysis, system design, and maintainable software development; desirable experience includes pytest, test-driven development, pybind/nanobind, Airflow, Polars, Jenkins, and WebSocket/TCP-IP networking.
