Description
The client is seeking a Senior Python Migration Engineer to lead the migration of large-scale legacy Perl-based data processing applications to a modern Python platform. The role involves converting Perl scripts, FTP/SFTP automation, orchestration workflows, data-load pipelines, and batch jobs into scalable, reusable, production-ready Python solutions, including Apache Airflow DAGs, database integration, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, validation, UAT, production cutover, and knowledge transfer. The stated rate range is $55-$60 per hour, and the role requires strong Python and Perl expertise, data pipeline and workflow experience, SQL and Oracle knowledge, and familiarity with Git, CI/CD, unit testing, YAML, logging, and monitoring.
