Description

Citi is hiring a full-time Lead Data Engineer to lead data engineering projects within its Data Analytics developers team. The role focuses on designing and optimizing scalable data pipelines, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL ETL, Python automation, Unix/Linux operations, CI/CD, data quality, and AI-driven data solutions. The position requires 10–15 years of progressive data engineering experience in the finance industry, a relevant bachelor's or master's degree, and expertise in database performance optimization, job scheduling, data warehousing, and large-volume data processing.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 10–15 years of progressive data engineering experience in the finance industry
Expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including database performance optimization
Proficiency in Python for data processing, scripting, and application development
Experience with Autosys job scheduling, dependency management, and monitoring
Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and command-line tools
Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects
Experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data modeling
Experience designing and handling large data volumes
Experience with real-time data processing using Kafka or Solace
