Description

Plane is hiring a QA Engineer to own the automated test suite for its web and desktop clients. The role covers framework design, coverage for concurrent editing, offline recovery, and agent actions, CI integration, flaky-test remediation, and triage of failures across cloud, self-hosted, and legacy environments. The engineer will work with product and engineering teams in San Francisco and Hyderabad, review community pull requests, and test APIs, REST and GraphQL services, and infrastructure components.

Required Previous Experiences: Experience building an automation framework
Experience making a flaky test suite trustworthy
Experience testing APIs and interfaces
Experience running test suites in CI
Preferred Qualifications: Experience contributing to Plane, running it self-hosted, or maintaining an open project
Experience testing real-time collaborative or offline-first applications
Experience testing AI-agent systems and non-deterministic behavior
Experience with cross-browser, visual regression, or Electron desktop testing
