Description
The QA/QC Inspector / Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) - Field provides field-based quality oversight for outage, maintenance, repair, and capital projects at power generation and heavy industrial facilities. The role inspects welding, fabrication, boiler, pressure-part, piping, structural, and repair activities; reviews procedures, drawings, welder qualifications, NDE records, and quality documentation; coordinates with project teams and customers; and prepares inspection reports. It requires current CWI certification, extensive travel, extended outage schedules, and a high school diploma or GED, with 3–5 years of welding inspection, quality control, or related industrial inspection experience.
