The Quality Control Inspector inspects incoming raw materials, outsourced parts, work-in-process, weldments, hydrostatic and leak tests, and finished items for conformance to prints, project specifications, and applicable A.S.M.E. code requirements. The role also handles quality documentation, communicates discrepancies to operations and engineering, stops unacceptable shipments, and uses measuring tools and blueprint-reading skills.
