Description
The Quality Inspector performs shipyard quality-control inspections, witness tests, incoming material inspections, dimensional and functional checks, report preparation, and coordination with engineering, outfitting, start-up, and class representatives. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of related experience or five years of professional welding experience, blueprint interpretation, communication with production and class representatives, and basic computer skills. It is an on-site, full-time, safety-sensitive position with potential exposure to confined spaces, heights, noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes, and smoke.
