Description
The Lead QA Specialist will plan, monitor, direct, and evaluate QA production; review medical records for ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding accuracy; ensure MS-DRG/APC assignments and reimbursement data are correct; coordinate QA meetings and continuing education; mentor coders; and support audits, project launches, and special projects. The role requires at least three years of experience as an accredited medical coder, five or more years of experience, and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
