Description
Torc is hiring a full-time Quality Control Engineer to review and audit high-definition geospatial map datasets used by autonomous trucks. The role performs quality control on lane geometry, road boundaries, intersections, signage, and map features derived from LiDAR point clouds and other sensor data; identifies and triages defects; develops QC metrics, sampling strategies, and audit workflows; and partners with mapping vendors and engineering teams to improve map quality and operational readiness. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 1–3 years of experience for the QC Engineer I level or 3–5 years for the QC Engineer II level, and familiarity with GIS tools, geospatial data formats, and large datasets. The US pay range is $89,600–$107,500, with medical, dental, and vision premiums paid in full for full-time employees.
