Description
The Quality Control Underwriter reviews mortgage loan files for compliance with investor guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies; assesses loan eligibility and risk using Automated Underwriting Systems; performs pre-funding and post-closing audits; evaluates appraisals, income documentation, credit reports, LTV, and DTI; prepares quality-control reports; and communicates findings to underwriting teams and stakeholders. The role requires at least three years of mortgage underwriting, quality control, or related experience, three years of LOS experience, and knowledge of major mortgage loan guidelines.
