Description
The Manufacturing Inspector inspects machined parts and assemblies at assembly, inspection, or machining stations and documents findings. The role reads blueprints and engineering specifications, measures dimensions and tolerances with precision instruments, performs in-process, layout, and final inspections, maintains inspection records and nonconformance reports, communicates quality issues, and supports other shop areas. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least five years of manufacturing experience, quality-control tool proficiency, organizational and computer skills, and knowledge of lean and 6S safety.
