Description
The Quality Assurance Manager oversees the Quality Assurance department, including budgeting, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and salary recommendations for reporting employees. The role manages inspection, disposition, record retention, supplier surveillance, calibration, equipment purchases, corrective and preventive actions, non-conformance reporting, customer requirements, statistical process control, and compliance with AS 9100, IATF16949, and Nadcap requirements. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, metallurgical, or industrial engineering or equivalent, at least 10 years of quality management experience, statistical problem-solving knowledge, and strong communication, presentation, persuasion, and team-management skills.
