Description
Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. is hiring a Quality Resident Engineer I to serve as the primary quality liaison with Rivian at its Normal, Illinois assembly plant. The role monitors product and service performance, leads quality issue documentation and root-cause investigations, validates 8D corrective-action reports, supports launch and production troubleshooting, and coordinates containment and customer escalations. It requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 1–3 years of quality or related engineering experience, with automotive quality, OEM corrective-action, and structured problem-solving knowledge preferred. The position works second shift, Monday through Friday, and may involve travel to Mexico and elsewhere in the United States.
