Description
The Manufacturing Inspector performs dimensional, visual, and mechanical property inspections of parts throughout manufacturing, including final acceptance. The role uses gages and inspection equipment such as pin gages, micrometers, calipers, hardness testers, optical comparators, and microscopes; documents nonconformances; rejects nonconforming lots; participates in continuous improvement; trains other inspectors; and works independently with minimal supervision. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, communication and basic math skills, familiarity with measuring equipment, and five years of related experience.
