Phasecraft is hiring a Quantum Algorithms Scientist to conduct theoretical and applied research and software development for near-term quantum computing applications, initially focusing on quantum algorithms and software for combinatorial optimization and constraint satisfaction. The role involves publishing research, collaborating with staff and PhD students, working with stakeholders on quantum computing collaborations, and supporting the company’s growth. Candidates should have expertise in quantum information or computation, classical optimization or constraint-satisfaction algorithms, quantum algorithm design, or mathematical algorithm analysis, along with a proven independent research record and strong publication and communication skills. A PhD in a relevant field, quantum software development experience, and hardware implementation experience are desirable.
