The GWDG is hiring a full-time Quantum Computing Expert to develop and operate a quantum computing ecosystem for anomaly detection in industry applications. The role integrates quantum-based algorithms into classical HPC environments, designs modular hardware-agnostic backends supporting simulators and NISQ devices, runs parallelized simulations, writes production-ready code, and analyzes hybrid-stack stability and errors. Candidates need a PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field, strong coding and quantum-computing knowledge, HPC simulation experience, and fluent English; the position is tied to the GWDG QC project through October 2029.
