IGNITE/ACES is hiring a Research Oriented Electro-Optical Engineer to develop, design, model, test, and demonstrate linear and nonlinear optical systems, including lasers, amplifiers, frequency-conversion devices, and experimental space payloads. The role covers component selection, optical system design, computational modeling, laboratory and field testing, prototype development, system integration, and technical reporting. Candidates need an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, significant laser and nonlinear-optical experience, the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance, and strong modeling and experimental skills.
