Riverlane is hiring a full-time, permanent Quantum Error Correction Researcher in Cambridge, United Kingdom, with a hybrid work arrangement. The role develops novel decoding algorithms, tailors approaches to different qubit modalities and quantum codes, models physical noise, tests hypotheses numerically, and contributes to the QEC stack, papers, and conferences. Candidates need a Master’s or PhD in a relevant technical field or equivalent industry experience, programming knowledge, strong communication and research skills, and an algorithmic problem-solving approach. Previous quantum computing, error correction, collaborative coding, or research-paper experience is preferred. The salary is £65,000 to £80,000 depending on experience, with part-time applications also considered.
